This motherboard requires memory ter pairs. You cannot install Three stuffs.

Your memory should be installed te slots A1 and D2 this is most likely your problem.

nomoo Legitimate May 2015

Ohh. yeah? Thought about that when installing them, but spil it says recommended and nothing about required I thought it would be ok.

I’ve taken one out now, lets hope it is that ordinary!

And thanks for your reply!

And nope, that wasgoed not it, just froze the same way with only Two jams te.

Someone at another forum suggested it could be the Samsung SM951 spil boot-drive, thoughts on that?

Here is the Speccy snapshot, http://speccy.piriform.com/results/VJNigWNdmycBGyNH1SCUGLc . I have not yet waterput back the 3rd ram stick so it should showcase 16GB ter it now.

. but can’t seam to download MiniToolBox spil my Avast goes nuts when attempting to and just blocks the verkeersopstopping, shows it spil a Win32:Malware-gen, but assume just a false positive!?

Should I just deactivate and download?

After reading around the web on some of the errors you are getting others have resolved the problem by discovering a faulty power supply. I wonder if this is may be your problem too. Obviously the only way to check is to interchange out the power supply for another known good one.

Minitoolbox is written by a BC staff member and hosted by BC, Avast is providing you a false positive.

Last freeze is the last even ter the error loom above, wasgoed about 36 hours ago, so it have bot a significant decrease ter the freezes. Only thing I’ve done is liquidated a stick of ram, and since then I’ve only had Five freezes ter about 43h, compare to 16 the 24 hours before that.

Below is a overview of all the freezes since I re-installed windows last time, the reds is with Three ram stick te, the greens are with only Two:

Can this be memory related after all?

Yes, bot thinking the same.

Is there any way to troubleshoot the PSU besides attempting another one or using a PSU tester? Or get some other readings te bios etc that can indicate that this is PSU related?

MrBruce1959 20 May 2015

The PSU is a very ingewikkeld and dangerous lump of hardware even however many do not realize this.

The voltage at the output is not what makes it dangerous tho’, it is the fact that it has an input voltage anywhere from 118 to 220 AC volts depending on what country you are te. The components inwards the PSU that filterzakje out the AC sinewave ripple (AC hum) hold a lethal amount of voltage long after the PSU has bot disconnected from the mains supply.

You can securely monitor the voltages using a VOM peettante connected to the various output connectors that supply voltage to your laptop’s hardware.

This pagina explains what the connectors are for and what they look like. http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html

There is a way to test the output of the PSU while it is powered up and under geyser using a VOM peettante set to the DC range.

Wij had a tutorial here at BC on how to do that, but it is a bit out of date and needs to be re-written.

Don’t think this is PSU related, I’ve embarked running Memtest on one stick at the time. Ran the 1st overnight and waking up it had done Four test after 8h but failed all the hammer tests with 2243 errors across a broad address range. Test result summery below:
